Yacht description

Your sailing vacations in Greek islands will be perfect with a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35, specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of customers. Every dimension of the Sun Odyssey 35 is maximized for comfort and liveability. You will be impressed by the spaciousness and refined details. . Defining features include an exceptional interior layout, graceful lines, great sailing performance and an extremely attractive base price.

The Sun Odyssey 35 designed by Marc Lombard, remains faithful to the Jeanneau spirit of strength and finish. The requirement for reliability comes always first and foremost. You will appreciate the lively yet stable and powerful hull shape in uncompromising comfort. At full speed or at anchor, the Sun Odyssey 35 cockpit affords a generous living area enjoyable at all times. It features a leather trimmed steering wheel, rounded teak seating, self-tailing winches and huge stowage lockers. In this spirit of great comfort the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 offers a generous sail plan which can be easily handled whether in the fixed keel or lifting keel configuration.

Referring to the yacht sailing abilities, it is fleet (over 6 knots in less than 10 knots true wind), nimble, and responsive. The boat handles well under power and is very controllable in reverse. The generous accommodation plan (we sailed a boat with a two-cabin layout) uses some innovative little tricks-both the nav table and the saloon table can be set in multiple positions-to maximize space and flexibility on board. Four opening hatches and four open ports provide excellent light and ventilation. The mechanical and electrical systems are above average for a boat in this price range, with capacities more than adequate for coastal cruising. The flaws we did find-higher-than-average engine noise and vibration, plus some poorly sealed plywood end-grain-were hardly fatal. The Sun Odyssey 35, we agreed, represents very good value in a mass-produced boat.

In the saloon as well as in the cabins and at the: chart table, the remarkable quality of the joinery in Burma teak is striking. You can find the saloon table to be able to adjust in three positions in order to provide maximum comfort and the chart table can be converted into a large bench seat or into a sea berth (in some yachts) Always paying attention to details, the designers have also emphasized the space, light and ventilation for even greater pleasure and joy at sea. Three cabin version of the yacht, with one toilet, can comfortably accommodate six guests in the double bed cabins and at least one more in the saloon.
